The development of DITA Exchange started back in 2006, based on a unique set of experience, business knowledge and personal skills:

• Many years of experience with teaching Topic Based Writing in combination with
• Solid knowledge about XML, XSLT and software development in general and
• Having done multiple Microsoft SharePoint implementations in large organizations and
• Having taken Microsoft Word to new places that most people never dreamt of

Having educating several hounded thousand people around the world in how to write according to Topic Based principles for more than a decade, laid a solid foundation for understanding what it takes to implement an XML standard (such as DITA) in a global organization.

Combined with many years of software development - especially on the Microsoft stack - and the emerging Microsoft SharePoint 2007 Platform, inspired the DITA Exchange Team to develop the leading DITA XML Content Management SharePoint Application.
