DITA Exchange has been working with Microsoft since 2006. DITA Exchange is exploring the use of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Word in areas where these applications have never been used before and a tight partnership to Microsoft is therefore necessary.

Because DITA Exchange is taking the Microsoft applications to new areas, where they have never been used before, it is of course in the interest of Microsoft to promote this.
