XML Experts often prefer to use highly specialized XML editors. DITA Exchange collaborates with all XML editors in the market place and allows the XML Experts to work with either a single topic or with a complete 'publication' in any XML editor.

DITA Exchange Word Editor exposes all the features known from other XML editors in Microsoft Word and lowers the need for (a) specialist training and (b) from an IT departmental perspective; avoiding supporting additional applications.
