DITA Exchange supports working with XML aware Translation Memory Applications like e.g. Trados.

DITA Exchange comes with (a) an out of the box publishing process for handling initial translations of a Source Publication and (b) out of the box features for handling subsequent handling translation of Source and Target language handling. The following use cases are supported:

1) Initial translation of the Source Language files via Translation Memory Applications

2) Subsequent translations of the Target Language files (ditamap, topics and graphics) via Translation Memory Applications

3) Detecting ‘delta’ translation tasks between the existing and previous publication (for manual translation handling)
